Dom Diogo Portuguese Olive Oil...an unusual & complex olive oil. Dom Diogo is a gratifyingly well balanced extra virgin olive oil...initially revealing scents of apple, green tomato, bitter almond & underlying hints of cinnamon, followed by light flavors of pepper & a delicate hint of green tomato, & finishing with sweeter notes of carob. Dom Diogo olive oil...a sublime "Grand Cru" is a relatively fruity oil that leaves a long, impressive persistence on the palette with the distinct sensation of green aromas, notes of olive leaf & apple & a hint of hazelnut. Dom Diogo is a rare extra virgin olive oil...smoothly bitter, slightly spicy, with a touch of fresh tomato.

Dom Diogo olive oil is from the fruit of olive trees grown on the red clay plots of the Quinta de Sao Vicente (farm), founded in 1738 & is home to an exclusive terrior, much appreciated at the time by Dom Diogo. This distinguished extra virgin olive oil is obtained directly from olives & solely by mechanical means.

Dom Diego olive oil...perfect for the finishing of meat, fish, or pasta dishes, as a base for seasoning salads, & as a flavoring in baked goods.
