Grandiose Pelican w/Fish Garden Sculpture... The pelican looks like a bird hailing from prehistoric times...truth is the pelican is precisely that! The pelican is believed to have appeared 100 million years ago, during the dinosaur era.
The pelican is closely related to storks & herons & their closest relative is proven to be the odd Shoebill. The largest pelican is the Dalmatian pelican & the smallest pelican is the Spot-billed pelican from Asia. Only the Brown pelican of the Americas live at sea & dive for fish. Pelicans launch themselves from heights of 66 ft. at speeds up to 41 miles per hour, but because of their relatively low weight, they cannot submerge more than 6 1/2 ft.
The Grandiose Pelican Garden Sculpture is NEW to the Dupere Collection & is a commissioned sculpture exclusive to Jones & Bones Unlimited.
