pepper steak with Double Devon Cream
ingredients
1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper 1 tbsp butter pinch salt 1 tbsp flour 1 tbsp brown sugar 2 tbsp green peppercorns 1/2 tbsp white peppercorns 1 tbsp brandy sirloin or tenderloin / new york strip for 4 1/2 cup (120 ml) Double Devon Cream
directions
- Press black peppers into both sides of the steak and fry until crisp.
- Sauce: melt butter in pan, add flour and brown sugar, stir, add peppercorns and brandy. Simmer for one minute, reduce heat and stir in Double Devon Cream until smooth. Add salt to taste.
- Serve sauce over steak or separately.
