vino de milo beef stroganoff

beef/lamb - serves 4

vino de milo portobello shiraz sauce gives a delicious taste kick to a traditional stroganoff recipe.
for a low-carb alternative, serve the stroganoff over spaghetti squash.

ingredients

1 lb stew beef or top sirloin, cut into thin strips
1 cup diced onions
1 diced green pepper
1 lb mushrooms
2 T butter
2 T worcestershire sauce
1 25-oz jar vino de milo portobello shiraz sauce
1/4 cup tomato sauce
16 oz egg noodles

directions
  1. sauté beef with onions and green pepper over high heat until browned; remove from heat.
  2. sauté mushrooms in butter in same pan until golden and juices have mostly evaporated.
  3. add worcestershire sauce to mushrooms in pan and mix well.
  4. return beef, onions, and green pepper to pan, and add 1 25-oz jar vino de milo portobello shiraz sauce, and tomato sauce.
  5. serve over freshly cooked egg noodles.
